i was talkin to somebody that had flowmaster and he said that they sounded tinny and he didnt like them.what did he mean by tinny and do they sound that way???
I don't think they sound tinny at all. I think they sound awesome. I have a 40 series with a high flow cat. It's pretty loud and it really came alive when I put my ram air on it. This truck sounds incredible and I wouldn't change a thing.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
Flowmasters have their own unique tone... kind of enhances the pulsating of the exhaust. I don't know... tinny is the exact opposite of what Flowmasters sound like. I love mine (40 series) and its cool to see an old fella like my dad smile when he fires up his truck with a flowmaster too

It's hard to explain. It's just one of those sounds that when you hear it you know exactly what it is. I have Flowtech headers with dual 2 1/2 pipe into twin 40 series flows and it sounds great!!
No,not flowmasters. Only time I've heard a tinny
exhaust is when I hollowed out a cat and didn't
weld a piece of strait pipe inside of the cat.
Don't make the same mistake because you will
be doing it twice... Just a tip..
