Guages too bright
Installed guages in my Dad's 02 but he thinks they are too bright. They are tied into the dimmer and are adjustable, just a little too bright. Anyone know a ballpark resistor value to start with to cut them down a bit? Don't mind buying an assortment, just have no idea where to start.

Use a black marker and color some of the bulb. That should work.

If they are built in and not replaceable they might be LED as are mine. I had the same problem and ordered a led dimmer from Autometer, the maker of my gauges. It was not cheap, I want to say about $35 but it fixed the problem. Hope that helps.
