Hey all,
I am buying a 6.4 I want to know what the difference is in the job #'s. I am looking @ a truck that was built on 05/07. what job # is it? Is there something I need to watch out for. For the record this is a Canadian truck, If that makes a differance???
Thanks
All Canadian Ford 6.4L PSD's are made in USA. Mine was built at KTP. Canadian trucks have Kilo speedos and daytime running lights. The revised Canadian warranty includes a unique powertrain warranty which extends coverage for Transmission, four wheel drive components and rear drive components for 160,000 KMS / 5 years which is better than the US warranty.
I have a job #1 built in Jan 2007. I have been keeping up with Ford recalls and re flashes. You should have the Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 08B06 which installs a Cooling Systems Venturi Tee Kit to prevent reverse flow from the degas bottle to radiator and CSP 08B07 to reflash the PCM and IC. If so, you should have no problems with a job #1 truck. Both are under warranty claim with Ford of Canada. Before purchase, ask the Ford dealership for the oasis report on all repairs done to the truck. You can also get the oasis report in this forum with a Vin Number.
I also installed a Job #2 air dam on front of truck. It is 6 inches deep rather that about 2 inches on a job #1. It give a slightly better fuel mileage and water spray control.
I have 39000kms on my truck and hasn't had a thing go wrong so far. It is the best truck I have ever had.
Thanks to all for the info. I also want to install the Saprtan tuner, S & B, and delete pipe. Has anyone out there done all these mods to a Job #1 truck? How did it handle the Tune?

Is this a new truck you are looking at? It would have been at the dealer for quite a while. If that matters
