Monday moring I was getting ready to go out of town for work, so I was going to the dump, so the wife would have to deal with the trash while I was gone. on the was their my driverside window falls all the way down. I had to leave in 4 hours so know time to look at it myself, and with rain comming I didn't want to leave it with a bag on the door till I got back. I called the Stealership, they said bring it in, I have an extened warrenty but they couldn't tell me if it was a covered part till they got it apart. and it we $89.95 just to check it. So to make a long story shorter, They warrenty didn't cover it, and it costed me $385 to get it fixed. so I guess my new headunit will now go on hold I was going to order it the day this happened. Aslo I asked them about my condontation issue on the passagerside floorboard and thay said they would have to pull the black box under the dash, and that could get ex*****ve. and of corse it is not covered as well. I don't really have a question in all of this just venting I guess.
They could have told you if it was covered free of charge. What was your warranty? 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper? 5 year/60,000 powertrain? You need to find an independent mechanic shop for your work in the future. As for the water problem, get under the truck and, make sure that the drain tube for the AC is clear. Also see about having your windshield resealed by a local glass company.
Find another dealership to get warranty work done at! If you want to verify if a part is covered or not, call Easy Care and ask them. The number should be somewhere on your ESP contract paper work.
I looked in my warrenty book they sent me, and it has a list of what is covered and what is not.....guess was is covered. So I call the warenty company and they tell me that it is covered and that the dealer need to call before they fixed it, and that I was the first person to ever call about that account. So now I am HOT! well, needless to say the service manger is real appoligic an is going to call me tomorrow to tell me how they are going to fix this issue.

WOW!! I can't say that I am surprised to hear the dealership did that! I bet they were trying to get you to pay the full amount of tech time rather than call it in to Easy Care and get only a set amount of tech time paid by Easy Care. I would call the Ford customer relations number in the back of your owners manual and report the dealership for not honoring your Ford sponsord ESP warranty on top of not darking that dealerships doors again with your service or sales buisiness.

This is the same dealership that I had it in when I was having the starting issue, when I had to fight with them to get a battery. their is only 2 dealers in the area, the other one had my inlaws navgatior for 3 weeks fixing the airride. I'm not done yet, the dealer said they called warrenty company says no, I don't care I just want my $285 back I have a $100 deductable.
What is that black thing under the dash called for the AC?
