blinking on the shifter means a trannie related problem. not turning over could be a hundred things. need more info. does it have an auto starter, does it work/not work dry, cold, wet, hot. does it make any unusuall noises. how many ks? whats it used for? etc...

the very first thing you have to do is check all the remote starter, wiring and function. then see if the starter is getting a signal, the small wire, when the truck wont start. if it is not getting a signal then id look at the shifter or the trannie issue to see if the truck thinks its in gear or something. check the easy stuff first, wiring etc. if your able to disable the auto starter.

I didn't find it the dealer did.... New one on me also. I told them to go ahead and fix it we will see what happens.

Picked up my truck yesterday and it was the cooling fan clutch that made the truck not turn over by the key and the trans not to shift. All is well now truck runs great!

No they didn't explain he just said it was a fail safe for the cooling system for the diesel.
