I found a guy on Ebay that is selling what appears to be a really heavy duty adjustable track bar for the SD with heim joints and a wide range of adjustability and grease zerks. The good news is he only charges about $100 for one. I'm planning on picking one up as soon as I get the $ to compliment the level kit I picked up. His ebay user name is cudadart, I've included a link to one of his closed auctions below.
Does anyone else have the issue on there trucks that depending in if you turn when parking one side or the other of your bed corner is higher than the other? It doesn't sit level unless I pull in completely straight. I have heard this could be a pan-rod issue, anyone else, or is it just my crappy lift?

No idea on that one Clay... btw if you are considering one of these you'll need to get a late style track bar bracket... yet another "perk" of the early 99.

When I first installed my lift I had that problem...it was pretty severe, the whole truck would rise and fall inches at a time. I got some of the play out myself, but was pretty out of wack until I got it alighned. I also cut and sleeved my track bar to make it longer but measured it with no weight on the axles (wrong), so I bought a factory track bar, cut it in half, and had it threaded @ the machine shop, one side LH, one side RH, and put in a big 1" turnbuckle w/lock nuts and all that went away. And I still have about 3" of adjustment either way.

Hers a picture of one of the turbuckles (I bought two and used the longer one), it's a 1"-8 thread, LH on one side. And I put two jam nuts on each side.
Very interesting... did you end up cutting any length out of your stock track bar, or just halved it and threaded it into the turnbuckle (long nut) you have pictured? And where did you buy that, I've never seen anything like that with a 1" hole size at a standard hardware store.
I know all about McMaster Carr... basically if they don't have it nobody does!
FWIW I also posted this info on another forum, and some of the guys there are saying that the heim joints may not be the best idea for a daily driver... not enough give and will want to wear out faster than a rubber bushed end.

Thats why I went with the factory bar w/bushings, I use a lot of hiem joints for other things and there is no give... and after experiencing what even a loose track bar will do I'm not taking any chances, nothing like having the front wheels hop off the ground @ 25mph.
I'm thinking seriously of doing something like you did with mine... how long have you had it that way and have you had any problems or notice anything weird with your setup?
Guys I built that same style bar about a year ago for less than $25 to fix my off center axle problem w/the stock bar and the leveling kit. All you need is a welder(or a friend who has one), a hacksaw, piece of pipe and a tractor link bar( I paid $20 for mine at a New Holland dealer). I cut the link in half, slid it into a tube(pipe), welded each end of the link to the tube and bolted it into the truck. Thats it. $25, six pack of beer and two hours taking your time and your are finished. By the way I was able to exactly center the axle in the truck and it drives great.
