03 e350 extended winter tires?
Living in northern NJ, I've always had 4x4 trucks and never really cared about snow, my trucks would go anywhere I needed them to.
Now driving a empty van I can't get out of my drivway (slight uphill). so I'm going to buy a set of snow tires. obviously some weight in the rear will help also.
first question is studded or non studded? I can get blizzaks for about $100 bucks each, but studded nokians are about $240 each.
second, are cheaper studded tires such as the firestone winterforce studded as good as the newer studdless?
From my reading it seems that the nokian studded is simply the best, but 1k just for tires on a van I drive part time is a big hit.
Thanks for any input!
The firestones might get the job done just fine for $100/each, but we are talking about a rear wheel drive open diff van so I don't know?
