Auxiliary Light Recommendations

Didn't see anything like this in the Electrical forum, so I'll ask here.

Does anyone have experience with Summit Racing's 6" offroad lights? They're way cheaper than KCs, but if they don't perform or last nearly as well, should I just pony up the bucks and get KCs?

I'll soon be dropping my front bumper to install the intake side of a Banks Powerpack kit (exhaust side is already in), and that will be the time to replace the crappy cheap little lights currently on the bumper. What's on now are maybe $15 / pair from Walmart, cutesy little things that keep blowing bulbs with almost no use. I figure water is getting to the bulbs. The wiring and relays are already installed and bumper drilled, so upgrading to better and longer-lasting lights will be pretty easy.

When these little things work, they're OK. I've got one pair angled well to the side, one pair aimed just outside the stock headlights, and one pair aimed down the road. Good for picking my way into a campsite at night, knowing where the ditches are, and having more warning of deer. If I go with KCs, I'll probably get one pair of long-range lights, one pair of fog (wide, flat beam) aimed just outside the stock, and one pair of floods aimed way to the side. If I get the Summits, I'll probably aim all in an arc off to the side.

Oh, and I'll probably add an extra transmission cooler and transmission temp gage while I'm ordering.

Im personally not a fan of KC's(although their carbon fiber HID lights look very nice) ...and did not look on summit(most times Summit and Jegs labeled parts are actually name brand stuff with their name on it...example is Summit winches are actually a T-max .....I have a jegs proportioning valve that has wilwood engraved under the jegs sticker......so those lights may very well be KC's

I have always run Hella and PIAA lights.....the one time I had KC they were rusted in a year

I have had two sets of KC's and really liked them. They are probably not the best light on the market, but tons better than the walmart/parts store stuff, a good balance of cost and quality.

I run the HELLA 5000. I think it is that one. they are the big metal ones. I have the cornering beam and in the north east with the twisty roads they work very well. you can see the animals in the woods before they get to the road which is nice. I won';t buy anything else, they are expensive though.
