Low Sulpher Diesel Fuel

We got the ULSD around here but we got a mini truck stop down the road a bit that carries 5%bio blend, great stuff, been running it about two years now and i like it. I do add a shot of DK to it every once and a while but nice smoth idleing and smooth operation, i,ve noticed. My point, if you can get some bio blend, try it, you'll like it.

The big fueling station down the road here has 2 LSD pumps, 4 ULSD pumps, and 2 Kerosene pumps. I always fill our stuff with LSD unless both LSD pumps are taken and the trucks aren't going anywhere for a while.
Usually I don't have to wait long for an LSD pump as it only takes 3 or 4 minutes to fill up the 100 gallon transfer tank in our little Chebby beater.

I am not arguing what the pump says where you get the fuel. Unless they are selling Bunker C fuel then you are getting either LSD or ULSD. Go ask for the fuel delivery sheet it will say on it what fuel they are selling. A lot of pumps still have not updated the stickers on the pump.
HSD is 501ppm or getter
LSD is 16ppm to 500ppm
ULSD is 0 to 15ppm

Not to split hairs, but what you said what HIGH sulfur not HIGHER. There is a difference between HIGH Sulfur fuel and HIGHER Higher Sulfur fuel. There is no such thing as HIGHER sulfer fuel.
I thing I understand what you are saying though. You are saying that Low sulfur fuel is higher sulfur fuel, which is higher sulfur than Ultra low sulfur fuel. In that case you are right. Either way they are not selling High sulfur fuel

I think I read or heard somewhere that off-road has a lower sulfer content in it than it used to and by 2010 it would be ULS also. Dont quote me on that though. I drink to much and my memory is not that great. Just dont let the MAN stick your tank and find that stuff! LOL! Unless you decide to pay the taxes on the stuff at the end of the year.
Notice the "higher" in quotation marks in the second post. But you got what I was meaning in the last part of your post.

You could add sulfur back into the fuel, but it will not do anything positive for the fuel...or your truck engine. In taking out the sulfur during the manufacturing of the ULSD fuel, the sulfur itself has nothing to do with the fuel lubricity. The loss of lubricity is a side effect of reducing sulfur content in fuel.
