Dash lights not working

On my '88 Ranger the dash lights are not working properly. Sometimes I can keep rotating the headlight **** until they come on, but this doesn't work all of the time. Do you think that all the problems are caused by the headlight switch/****? I just wanted some input before buying a knew headlight switch.

Headlight switch is bad, easy fix on the older rangers.

Any auto parts store, but the stealership has the best quality if youre feeling rich.
