Test Motor Start Wiring Question

I have all of the wiring pulled on my truck for an upgraded harness and new fuse panel. I have 0 wires on the truck. What would be the easiest way to wire the motor temporarily so that I can start the motor ever so often? I am also doing paint and bodywork at this time so it may be a while, but I would like to be able to start the motor and let it run. It hasn't been started in a year....speaking of that what is the best way to keep a motor that is sitting up in good condition so that it will be ready to go with no problems when you do get it back going?

Every time a motor is started cold some wear happens before the oil is circulated through the whole motor, so the best way to avoid this is to simply not start the motor at all while the vehicle isn't in use. If it is to be out of commission for months or more spray some oil into the cylinders, remove and charge the battery and then store it in a dry place. When restarting the motor after long storage period remove he distributor and prime the oil pump with a drill for about 30 seconds before starting the motor.

A carbed motor just needs to have the ignition system wired and powered with a temporary ignition switch to run.
