No tailights!

I have a 2003 Excursion, auto-start installed. If I use auto-start everything works great. However, as soon as I hit the Brake pedal my IP lights and Taillights go out. All fuses are good! Any advice?

The RS is tied into the running light circuit. If your lights are off, then when you touch the brakes, the RS is turned off and so is power to the lights. If you can't turn the lights on with the switch, then your installer didn't get a good connection on the brown wire (it's either brown or orange) at the back of the headlight switch. To save time, some installers cut this wire add the wire from the RS to the truck side of the wire and use a barrel splice to put it all back together. If the barrel (butt) splice didn't grab the switch side of the wire, then the RS can power the lights, but the switch can't.

No Taillights

Do you think it could be the headlight switch? The auto-start has been installed for quite a while, the problem just started. I will check the connections though.

If they used a butt connector, they can back out for odd reasons/vibration. It's worth pulling the switch out to check. You know the circuit works, because the RS can power it. So it's not receiving power, either from the switch or the switch is not getting power.
