RH front axel seal change problem
I changed the axle seal on RH front of my 2000 Explorer Sport.
When I removed my half-shaft, it was still connected onto the output shaft, so it came out as a single piece. the half-shaft clips onto the output shaft, which clips into the diff the same way as the dri. side (cir-clip). Now everything went back together nicely and seemed to click back into place but there is about 3/8 to half inch space between the seal face and the CV on RH as opposed to only about 1/8 inch on the driver's-side. I can move the RH CV axially by hand about 1/4 inch so it's not end-loaded...any thoughts? I seem to have a vibration in the wheel on turns I never noticed before but no noises etc. Is something not back in place or could this be normal? Any advice would be appreciated.
