Yea, I noticed the adjustable rod too. Looks like a temp fix for a worn bushing would be adjusting the rod lenght.
I believe I can come up with a cost effective fix. The e-bay fix is $40 bucks. Why not maching a bronze bushing to replace the plastic bushing? Dig through the scrap bin, material would be cheap. Then a little time on the lathe. ......
The plastic takes up a bit of .... play.
The hiem joint allows for the movement, while a bushing would not.
Most people in here know that if you look under there, the damn rod is never in the place its suppose to be anyways, Its out on the end of the rod if it can be. Mines missing the E clip that goes on there, so it moves around. It probably doesn't help with my clutching.
As for the whole f150 to bigger trucks clutch springs. I request heavier springs for mine.
My clutch gives you a work out.
