4x4 front outer axle shaft

I have a 2001 f250 super duty with a power stroke diesel 4x4 I need to replace the stub axle on the front passenger side . I see part number 4c3z-3b387-AA mentioned in more that one thread here as being the part I need. Is this the correct part number for my application.

99% of the Ford dealers will tell you that only the complete axle shaft and u-joint is available and will run about $500 per side. There is actually a Ford replacement outer shaft (4C3Z-3B387-AA} and it will run around $120 plus the cost of new needle bearing, inner and outer grease and dust seals for about $250 per side.

Thanks for the link I will order part in the AM. The needle bearing for the hub are torrington b2110 or Napa also uses this number So you should be able to buy that bearing at about any decent parts store that can cross reference that Torrington number.

I bought the stub axle on ebay nearly $40.00 cheaper than Ford. The guy is a good ebayer called him before buying he knows his business and the part was shipped the same day and arrived on time. It was also the exact same casting/ forging numbers as the one I removed. auction #250173969636
