Looks great! You did a nice job.

One item of concern, The car exhaust manifolds will not clear the steering box in the F100 "IF" you are running the stock steering box.

tHE YBLOCK TRUCK manifolds will work,or headers. If you are willing to spend 400 bucks or more -ram-horn manifolds. Not worth it to me....but if you find em cheap --that is a good idea.
Better to find out now, than during installation.....yblock looks good---but I like them yellow. haha Bill

I thought the color was Ford red for that year...ie 54?...as for headers i went on the red's headers...looks like i can pick a set up for 225.00. bummer but that will have to do

Your fine and correct on the color is is supposed to be red for 54, some people dont know what they are talking about!

Headers work, not my favorite but they work well in the trucks.

Ram horns are another avenue, but expensive, but look the BEST

Take the manifolds you have on there now and put the pass side on the drives side, it will now dump down in the front. may have to eliminate the fuel pump and run an electric pump. Use the original pass side truck manifold on the pass side and CAP the front off. This will get you dualls, but by the time you have exhaust made you might as well go with the other options listed above.

Summit racing sells Patriot headers for under $200 check with them as they are long tube and buy some header ready mufflers and your done!

I said that yours looked good. I prefer them painted yellow---as I have a lot of yblocks, but no 54. Sorry. I suppose Bigwin will correct all my posts -so I will just let him answer for now.

Walford you like them yellow so much you painted your first y block RED UNtill I told you they were supposed to be YELLOW. Now you think you are the resident expert!

Yellow engines are the worst! I hate them I wish 56's were RED the yellow shows all the dirt, grease, oil, etc.

low54 why not put the truck manifolds in the first picture back on just have them coated personnaly I like the cross-over pipe in the front. I was think about putting a Y-block in 55 which currently have a 302 but the bucks besides there is nothing wrong with the 302. The ones I did see was going for big bucks $1200-$1500, just stock ones.

Bigwin---I listened to you about that. But you have lied to me about other things and so I cannot believe everything out of your mouth.
When you are right you are right,as in this case.
I am man enough to say when I was wrong. I said--''I prefer yellow'' and now I do. I should just bow down to your excellency!!!! LMAO haha
humble Bill---haha

Walford,

I dont need the harrasement from you so get over it!

Back to the post, The 239 looks great! Red as it should be on the 54 trucks, The headers with smithys mufflers is a great combo for sound, not too loud and loud enough to say "hey this thing runs good"

I do not have a problem and said I was wrong. Some folks just need to overcome their shortcomings and chill out.
With that said.....continue with the program...............Bill
