I had a co-worker from a previous job that was asking me to trust him and pay him $1200.00 to have him explain how to never pay taxes again. Now.. I know they can throw you in jail for being behind on your taxes, and tax evasion. I figure those who are sitting in a jail cell probably don't pay taxes, so that is one way to do it.

I don't care if someone does prove it, I still pay them to keep myself out of the pokey..

Dear Duane,

I had a fair weekend, but I didn't take a nap. That is all.

Yep.. way to many taxes..

Would make you feel better if you saw your entire life taxes go to something worthwhile. For instance, if at near the end of your life, you got to tour the orphanage that your taxes paid for, or they put your name on the stretch of highway that your taxes paid for.

It's too bad that you can't designate where you want your tax dollars to go. At least choose categories, for instance, Military Security, President's Bonus, Schools, Help the poor, Hwy Maintenance, Senator's fancy vacation, Rich people's Lavish parties, etc... etc...

I feel like a lot fewer of the US would say.. "Apply my taxes to the large pallet of money that we are sending to another country to give away to dictators to buy their loyalty"

I feel all politicians are voted for under a false pretense. "Vote for me, because I will do _______ and _____ and ______" (fill in the blank) but once they are voted in, they just ride it out until the next election, because if they do nothing, they get to keep their job till their term is up, but if they take action, and someone doesn't like it, then they have to work for a living trying to justify why they did it.

Kinda of like weather men-- they don't have to be right to keep their job.

True, but a weatherman has the ability to learn and improve on his job. I feel like they are slowly getting more reliable.
