I've got a '98 F150 with a plain am/fm/clock radio. I have already replaced the speakers in the truck but now am trying to get the radio out. I removed the plastic panel with a thin putty knife and it popped right out. The problem I'm having now is how to get the radio to slide out. There are 4 little holes in the front on the radio. Are those some kind of release or is there something else in the back to release it? If anyone has replaced your stock radio and know how to get them out please help!!!
Thanks...

Just take a metal coat hanger and cut 4-4"sections out of it, and stick the ends into the 4 holes on the side of the radio. Then push lightly outward on them and that will reease the radio. The uotward pressure has to be done at the same time you pull on the radio. You may just want to try one side at a time I think there is enough slack. This is what I did to remove mine and put in a Kameleon by JVC.
Hey Rob...
Thanks for the input... I had a feeling those 4 holes had something to do with it. Doing a change with an Alpine radio/CD changer and hope everything works o.k.
Thanks again...

Finally got a chance to work on the truck last night and it worked just like you said. I've got the new radio in and it works great. The next step is to add an amplifier and subwoofer
