Will 31x10.5 tires fit on my F150 2 wheel drive? Is there enough room to turn with these? Will 31x10.5 at least fit on the rear? Any thoughts and information appreciated.

I have an 88 F150 XLT 2WD LWB that came equipped with P235's,not P215's,and the 31x10.50 Federal's fit good all the way around. The back has plenty of room as needed. The front "looks" like it could use more room, but it just "looks" that way.I have never rubbed a fender nor radium arm yet, even climbing the levee.I am planning to lift the front 1" with simple heght adjusters for a better look, but don't need to.I guess you may have trouble if the truck has sagging springs and bad shocks.

Phillip,

What size rims do you have your 10.5s mounted on?

When i bought the truck used, they were already mounted on chrome modular mags. Judgeing from the way the sidewall is shaped,I would assume they are 8" wide and possibly the backspacing may be a 1/2" or so less than a stock rim, moving the whole package outward slightly.Whenever I rotate them I will take measurements and post back.Just for knowledge,I parked next to a 91 or 92 the other day with 31x10.50's on factory aluminum modular mags. You know, the ones with several round holes around the center disc.I believe the tire was the BFG Long Trail, which for some reason, seemed larger in diameter compared to my Federals because of less clearance around his wheel wells? Maybe his truck had weak coil springs or something.A while back while prepping myself for a future tire purchase{moneywise},I noticed that some brands 31's were either taller or shorter than each other by a 1/2" either way! They all state tire diameter at their websites so a little surfing will give you some insite.
