Heys guys, im glad to be back on this site cause that means im working on my truck again... its what I love to do.
Anyways, I have a 1984 460 4x4 that i've been working on for awhile. Recently its been starting EXTREMELY rough... it will die if the pedal is not floored for awhile (til the engine warms up). During that time there is popping and cracking from the muffler (i think). I sounds as if the engine is trying to pass something. But after it runs opened up for awhile then it runs great.
I've ruled out everything with the carburator cause I just replaced it and had it tuned. Is there a fouled plug?
Can you give me some pointers on how to adjust it properly? I live in a pretty warm area. Today it was 88 degrees! In the summer 110+. I heard thats supposed to matter... Any advice on how to tune it and what to look for?
