Hello again, just wondering about the Lund MoonVisors... I'm thinking about getting one for my truck. What are the ups and downs of having one? and do i need to take it to the body shop to get the paint accurate or do i have specific options... If i can find a black one that would be great... If anyone has any links, ideas or opinions, let me know plz...
I've installed a couple, not a Superduty though. Install is straight forward for the most part, two glue down bolts on top and 6 self tappers in the door frame. The two I've done were shipped in white gel coat, if you want the paint to match, a paint shop or body shop will have to get the paint specs and mix it up for you. Not even black is just black.
They can make a little wind noise and if the self tappers are a 1/16th off, you will have to trim it to clear the door, so have some touch up handy on final install.
The lighted visors come in two flavors, the moon visor is going to be the boxier/square style and the lunar is the smoother more aerodynamical model. I like the looks of the lunar more, but I still wouldn't have one on my vehicles.
