Cruise control

My ranger is a bare bones 2.5 liter 5 speed manual. I sort of miss the cruise I had on the F-150, and want to add it to the Ranger. I searched out threads, but couldn't find anyone who put an aftermarket unit on their truck. Has anyone done that, and if so what brand did you use? I really can't afford to change the column and everything to have a factory unit installed.
Thanks,

several years ago i put a aftermarket cruise on my '88 2.3 2wd s/c. it worked for about 2 years before it quit. when it was working, it did fine. i dont recall a brand name or cost, after all its been over 10 years since ive had that truck , check out a local parts accessories shop or google it. one thing i recall was that on a steep long upgrade id have to kick-off the cruise and downshift, the 2.3 didnt like long upgrades in 5th gear.

Got to thinking and remembered installing a sears unit on my '79 Turbo Mustang with a 4 speed. Pretty easy install and adjustment. I'm going to have to start searching in my spare time.
