front end conversion question

Hey guys. I finally got all of my peices to do my front end conversion, bumper is getting painted now. I know I will need a header panel but I was just wondering if anyone did the conversion w.o the header panel and how they attached the bottom of the grille. Thanks guys any advice is very much appriceated!

Zip ties work if you don't replace the header panel.

I gave a buddy of mine a 05+ HD front end a while ago and that's what he did.

Kenny seems like the kinda guy who would rather use zip ties and save money, afterall header panels are hard to steal.

For something you can't see and to save 200 bucks, i say try the zip tie Kenny. If you don't like it or it bothers you well by all means...fab one up from scrap, can that be done??

if you are replacing the bumper, you will need the new panel.

So you can't replace the old bumper with the new 05 bumper unless you have the header panel. I'm thinking about upgrading the front end, and if anybody has a complete list of what I will need, that would be great.

Have a look here. This is in good detail:

How to swap '05-'07 SuperDuty Front End to your '99-'04 - Texas4x4.org

I didn't replace the bumper on mine. I like the looks better. The newer one just seems flimsy.

You can replace the headlamps, grille and bumper all without replacing the header panel as long as you cut the header panel to install the headlamps.

That is what I did for the lights.
