What's the scoop on Tire Rack? Do local shops give you any hassles when you ask them to install mail order tires? Is it worth it?

I have bought three sets of tires from tire Rack and found their prices to be far superior than any retail store. They don't B.S. you with road hazard warranties (which you don't need anyway), no sales tax which just about covers the shipping costs. They will provide names of shops to get your tires mounted, but I've always just located a local service station to mount/balance the new tires for $8-$10 per wheel. Oh, the savings? How about $80-$160 per set on the the three sets I've purchased. Like I said, no comparison.

Approximately how much does Tire Rack charge to ship a set of tires? I've looked at some of their prices and they seem well below prices I've seen advertised locally.($97 vs. $137 for a comparable tire) Thanks for your help.
