I was reading the 09 brochure last night, it says if you run E85, your MPG's are 10 city and 13 highway.

I'm looking for real life. I'm just curious as I haven't heard of anyone running it at all.

That is for every model except the 09's f150's, hybrids and some mustangs.

I've run e85 in my 07 a couple of times, mileage sucked 30% less.....and the oil was the nastiest smelling and looking stuff after 3k miles as opposed to very clean oil at 5k miles on gas....i decided it wasn't worth it, especially now that gas is back around 1.69

I wouldn't run it if it didn't give a power increase, but the 09 supposedly goes to 320HP and 390ft/lbs.

I'm confident mine puts out a bit more power on the E85 as well....its a bit quicker off the line on E85.....but still not worth it in my opinion

I was wondering if all f150's were or if it was just the ones that had the flexfuel badge on the back because when i ordered my f150 there was an option to have it e85 compatible or not. How long they all been like this for?

I know that they all aren't as my 04 is not. However I do not know if they made it standard in later years.

I think it was 06...mine doesn't have a badge...but it is flex-fuel.....it was almost impossible around here to not get a flexfuel....and a bonus....it has bigger fuel lines....(think supercharger....and if your a days of thunder fan...more fuel capacity)

Yes E-85 does boost the power to 320/390. But for the mileage hit you'd be better off running 93 octane with a tune.

yeah 06 was the first year for the 5.4 flex fuel (FFV). It was actually an optional engine through 2008.

Now for 09, all the 5.4's are FFV.
