hello and happy new year to everyone!. I have a bit of an issue with my 1994 ford f350 7.3 idi. this morning i went to start my truck up and noticed that my left turn signal stuck on. (with a sold arrow on the dash) the right directional works fine and blinks. also when i turn off the headlights and then try the left directional EVERYTHING blinks?? both right and left sides (even the top cab marker lights). i replaced the turn signal assembely on the column and the problem is still there. any ideas?
Sounds like you may have a bad ground in the L side and it is back feeding through the marker lights to find a ground.
With the left turn signal on, are both the front and rear exterior light illuminated?
With the emer flashers on, does the problem still exist with the markers (cab lights)?
Since the RH is working fine, with the flashers working, watch the left side lights for the one that is in sync with the RH side.
And then check the ground for the light that is out of sync. It may be in the bulb, the connection or the chassis ground.
Ford headlight switches are famous and a pain to get . relays.
I second the trailer wiring and socket if you have one.
I had that acted like this drove me nuts found where somebody forced a 1156 bulb in to the tail light socket instead of a 1157.
