C6 trans problem

Hello. ok here's what i've done. plu the torque converter on the engine then put the trans on the engine. by now i know i royally messed up. ok took the trans off the engine. then seated the converter properly (according to instructions provided in this forum. everyone here's a huge help) ok I can't turn the converter now that i have it properly seated. should i be able to? or does this mean i ruined the front pump? i think i know my answer but i'd like confirmation. Anyone know if you're supposed to be able to turn the converter once it's properly seated and the pump is engaged? Thanks in advance for any help.

C6 torque converter

Yes, you should be able to spin it once it is engaged properly with the pump and gear set. The mounting studs on the converter should be at least 1" back from the edge of the casing, not just even with it.
