I don't know if this is the right place for this or not. I have a 2002 F350 Lariat. I have the 6 CD changer in the dash. Right now none of my CD player is working. It gives me a CD error message when I try to do anything. The worst part about is there are 4 CDs in it that won't come out.
This happens every so often to me. I'll eject a cd (usually cd 1) and it will get stuck, the cd player thinks its out, but cant shuffle between so gives an error message.
The methods I've used were tweezers, the first time the cd got stuck just inside the cd face, i was able to grab it and yank it out.
The last time I couldn't see the cd so i "tapped" the top of the dash with the palm of my hand. Turned the truck off and next time i started up it spit the cd out.
Alot of people just dont keep cd's in the first and last slot as this seems to be where the problem mostly occurs. Good luck.
Well That stereo I find is crappy. we are on number 2 and the 2nd one has now puked and when all are cds got stuck ford got them out on warrenty and they sent them to us in the mail i think.
I had the same issure with my Premium 6 cd indash player as well
I traded with the dealer twice, and still had stuck cd's
You can get the tool to remove the radio and open it up.
I have since installed a aftermarket single cd player(Alpine) with a 12 disc changer and Sirius SAT radio.
you are better off buying a new radio
remember you get what you pay for, spend $250-400 and get a very good cd player or spend $500+ and get DVD player
i have a 2000 X single cd player and i have a CD stuck, when i push eject, it makes a clicking sound like it wants to come out, but won't, any suggestions?
