Warner 1345 transfer case
I was wondering if anybody could tell me a little about this transfer, Is it any good? what are the positives and negatives of this case? Are they relieable ECT? Thanks in advance.

From my own personal experiences it's pretty tough unit. I have one in my 84 F250, it gets beaten pretty regularly plowing snow and pulling trailers. No problems so far, it has a pretty deep low range which is handy for pulling stumps and so forth.

A lot of these trucks had 208's and the warner 1345's. Both are aluminum case with chains, and I believe the 1345 is considered stronger because the chain is wider. These year trucks did not come with the all gear cast iron 205's, but some people retro fit them.

It will bolt up. But if it's shorter or longer, you will have to modify the front and rear driveshafts, and the shift lever may be different or end up in a different place in the floorboard. You will have to find one of these out of a 70's pickup.
