Inner ties rods removel/install
So I currently have got my 98 4x4 3.0L up on jack stands because I can't get a sticker until both inner tie rods are replaced. My question is this, How do you remove the old inner tie rod? There doesn't seem to be much room in there at all. So far I have disconnected the outer tie rod ends, being sure to keep count of how many turns it took to seperate them. But the inner "nut" is, well, sort of faceing the wrong way...well not wrong per say, but it faces in, making it next to impossible to fit any sort of wrench around it. I have seen on one of my favorite tool sites a special ITR wrench. but I am not going to be able to buy one so I need an alterative method. Any one have any Ideas? Any solutions out there? Thanks.
