my first post, yeah me. i'm looking on ebay daily for a used ex. any tips? i'm in queens ny and park on the street, thats why f350 is out of the question. we'll be shuttling the family to our cottage in the sticks with it. here's my first real question. how good/ bad is a chipped truck? thanks
mk
My guess is if he's asking about a chipped truck, he's already got one in mind. Personally if i'm shopping, I go for unmodified, even if I plan to apply modifications later. That way I know if something goes wrong with them it's my own fault, and can't blame the previous owner.
I hunted craigslist for months without finding anyhting quite right, and in the end ended up using vehix.com. Craigslist is cool, however it's limiting in the sense that you can only do your local area at a time, each surrounding area is another search, and there's not a whole lot of Excursions for sale, and I was willing to drive quite a hike to get it.
I bought my Excursion on eBay over two years ago and had to fly to Houston, TX to bring it back. Texas seems to be a good place to find good deals on salt-free SUVs and I've been real happy with my purchase. I bought mine from Texas Direct Auto.
well now i'm not getting an ex. my company is slow and i was laid off for new year. until the gravy train leaves the station again i'm sucking wind. oh well, it's a union thing. thanks for all the good advice.
Thats too bad. mine will be for sale next month 05 PSD 73,500 miles still with warranty time. i was actually going out to long Island next month to visit family.
