Hey guys I have a question here( What is the shock called on the front axle) is it a steering dampner stabilizer shock and is this only on 250's or is on certain years etc...????????????????????
what does it do - or more specifically, how does sit impact the feel / drive of your truck?
It mostly has an impact on offroad driving it helps to keep your steering under control. As far as onroad driving there is not a huge deference in feel.
Edit: It also helps the steering when you run large wheels and tires.
I believe there are 2 types of mounts... You can use the stock mount, but it hangs down quite a bit if you do much off road driving !! There is also a mount that you can get that makes the stabilizer mount up behind the axle... Much better if you ask me !!! Mine is mounted on the stock bracket and I don't like it there... I will be replacing it soon with the other type and I will be getting dual stabilizers as well instead of the single !!
