Sagging Front End

on my 89 F-150 4x4. I stuck a jack under it and
to make it look right I have to raise it about 3 to 4 inches. I have seen springs offered in JC Whitney that raise 'em up 1 1/2" to 2". I am sure mine are weak so they will probably raise it more than that. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Are air shocks an option? If so, where can a lay my hands on a pair? Thanks for any replies.

look in the 4wd magazines and on web sites for lift kit ads. there are "leveling" kits available to correct this . but, you might just have sagging springs.

Stick with stock replacement springs unless you want to raise the back with the front. your OE springs are weak and if you use lift springs you will have the front too high and also alignment problems (again, unless you buy a complete lift kit).

Real quick question. Did you use the Six Cylinder springs? If thats the case then you need to put springs for a truck with a 351 in it. Due to the added weight of the 351 vs. the 300. Trust me I found out the hard way. (read below)

1988 F-150 Custom to XLT Lariat conversion, 5.0 EFI (formerly 300 I6), 5-speed M5OD, 3.08 rear gears (will be upgraded to 3.55's), Summit headers, Flowmaster muffler W/ dual 3.5" tips 24" long.

Pioneer CD, AC, Tilt, Cruise, Mobile Radio, Lightbar (Force 4 LP6000), Federal Signal PA300 Siren W/100W Siren Speaker. Caution Customizing in progress, Watch for flying tools & Parts!

Thanks for the input guys. I just put a F-350 SRW
axle and springs from a 95 under it and it raised the back some too. Thats one reason why it looks like a funny car. I honestly believe the the 351 weighs no more than than 300, due to my extensive use of aluminum on it. I browsed a couple of 4x4 sites I have bookmarked last nite but with the exception of JC Whitney, couldn't find anything
just for the front. Most places sell a complete package, front and rear both and as I said the back end is high enough. Can you recommend any 4x4 sites?
Thanks,

DannyP
