What happens if it is not a word? I can't find "stringles" in an online dictionary anywhere.
Not picking on you or anything, Sierraben, but we need to do something here or we'll soon end up with words like "ufjeklsi" (which is not a word I could find in a dictionary, either).

Do we go back to the last legitimate word?
Some of the ugliest arguments I ever had wtih my wife or kids was over words generated while playing Scrabble. We finally bought a Scrabble dictionary and eliminated the fights.

If it is a questionable word, should the poster use it in a sentence?
I don't want to be a pita, but this is a fun game for me and I'd like to see it kept going. If the words get ridiculous, people will quit. Some words, by necessity will be a stretch. For example, the only thing I can think to do with "springless" is to remove the n making it "sprigless"; as in "without any sprigs (which are small shoots of grass).
That is not my "final offical next word answer" yet, BTW. I am still thinking about it

edit to Alchymist: if we hit a dead-end, is there anything wrong with using the same word twice to head us back to a direction that can be followed further? i.e. back up and take a right turn instead of the left turn that got us where we are.
