tire calibration question
I got a speeding tick last night, 19 over in a 45.. they got me in a speed trap.. im just wondering how many mph off my speedo is.. im gonna try to get some mph's knocked off when i get it calibrated.. how many mph do you think it is off from stock with 295/75-16..

Not sure exactly how far it is off but I'd say around 5 mph. Not sure where you from but here in CT sometimes the police have trailers that display your speed, I just compared my speedometer to the trailers reading and now I know how far its off.
There is a way to calibrate it, I remember reading the steps somewhere on here, I'll search for it.

probably about 4 mph because with my 34x10.50R16 's were 6-7 mph over heres a site to help you calibrate your speedo i did mine this way Tips - Idea - Hints

Assuming that stock tires are 31.7" tall and have a circumference of 99.7" and that 295's are 33.4" tall with a circumference of 105" that's a bit over 5% error. Your speedometer should have been just under 60 if you were actually doing 64
