I have a 1988 ford superduty (450/dump) with a 460 engine, fuel injection. Starts and runs great, but after the initial start up, the next time if engine is warm it floods out. Sometimes it will start and then sometimes it won't, most times it won't. After it sits for a while (30 minutes) it will usally start up no problem, but will smoke and you can smell raw fuel for a few minutes. Then it clears up and runs fine till you shut it off the next time. Any help would be appreciated.
No that did not fix the problem. I have since taken it to the ford dealer ship and they could not find the a problem, even thought it flooded several times for them. They suggested a MAP sensor, but did not know for sure. Needless to say the dealer ship will not see any of my business in the future, new or used. I have also written to Ford Motor Corp.
