Question idle 460

My idle is set to the specs that are on a label on the valve cover. But 650 RPM doesn't seem to be much. Just curious what other people have their 460's set to. Mine is stock except for an Edlebrock 4 barrel (600 or 650 CFM, don't remember)

With an aftermarket carb you will have to just tweak it until you get the truck idling smoothly and to your liking... every truck will have a slightly different setting cause not all motors are the same... So just play with it untill it is how you like it...

well, i'd like it to be able to idle down the road. Or when you take off from a lite it moves a little bit on its own. Right now it sits still at a light until i give it gas. I just don't know what to set it to. How much is too much?

Sounds like it must be an auto trans. If you have to use much brake to hold it at a light you won't like it if you get on slick roads.
