whinning sometimes on acceleration

i own a 2003 f 150 with about 160 000 ks on it. It seems to be whinning upon acceleration sometimes. It is not the head gasket as my coolent level is constant. i am thinking it may be the furl filter or idler arm pulley. I am hoping that it isn't my tranney. Please help.

just when i accelerate from a stop sign. And its winter but we have had some warm days and it still does it then as well.

how might i check the fan clutch??

My guess is the power steering pump. Mine is starting to make a slight whine now that it's cold out.

mine has been whistling in the winter when i first start it up for 2 years now. it sounds like a bearing and iv read that the PS pump or the ALT is common on these trucks to do that.
