I have been trying to decide which is a better mod. I wnat to raise my X a bit but nothing extreme. I dont wnat a stiffer ride justt a taller stance. I have Nitto terra grapplers 275/65 and 18" rockstar wheels. No problems with rubbing want to be albe to bump a tire size next time I need to replace tires.
I occassionly toe my 14 enclosed trailer and my brothers bass boat nothing real heavy.
I am currently shopping for shocks so thought this would be the best time for this mod. 105k, shocks look very old all black assume they maybe stock
Will I get a decent ride with the basic 3 inch lift?
Will a spring swap lift the truck 2-3"? If so do I need to replace the blocks and U-bolts?
Which is better mod for the money?
I have a 2003 6.0L 4x4 with tow package seems to sit fairly level now.

Reason: More info
If it were me I'd do the spring swap (V/B swap). The ride will actually be more compliant due to the larger/heavier wheels & tires, you'll get some height increase and better road manners all around.
if you have the money go new.if not then go used.i would go with the spring lift imo also.would be all around a better ride.and shocks are all of preference.i like the bilstein reservoirs which is what ill be running when i get cash.or some fox or ranchos.all are usually decent and just preference
