well, i went and stepped in it, i guess. swapped off my toyota for the dodge 3500 with the cummins turbo 6-speed. so far so good. it ain't the f-250, but it does haul more and is a BUNCH quieter. hope y'all don't disown me here. LOL still working with the 250, just not quite as regular as before.
Traitor you'll be around the dodge sites are not as much fun.
There not bad except for them gangbanger lowrider seats you have to install to keep from being recognized.
the only dodge site i've been on (and just once) wasn't very user friendly and nobody had anywhere close to the experience and knowledge that FTE does. mainly will be using the dodge to pull a goosneck that i'm putting a slide in camper on to take the wife camping. can't believe i got a girly-girl to bait her own hook and take what she catches off the hook. if it takes driving a dodge to get her out in the boat and out of the house, i guess i can suffer through it. BTW, don't got no low-rider seats, just use some oakleys and a john deere cap to camaflouge me. LOL
I hear you if she's already baiting her own hook it's maybe worth it.
Try turbo diesel registry it's supposed to be THE dodge site doubt if it compares to fte but I don't think the other forums on here compare to this one but I am biased.

that's the one i went to and kind of browsed around on. best i could tell is you can't post and make inquiries unless you "pay to play". if i have to go there for information, it'll be a desperate situation, know what i mean? think i'll just stay here just cause of the good people i've met and all the help that's been provided. unfortunately, i ain't through with working on the '91 yet, so figure there's more questions coming.
cumminsforum.com and the dieselgarage.com are where I go, not so snooty... The Cummins guys on the cummins forum are pretty cool. Lots of info, no pay. Diesel garage just got hacked, so info is low until they can get that fixed.
sorry i haven't been on for a while. got a case of what i think is food poisoning several days ago. today is the first day i've been able to stay in one place long enough to get on line....don't have WIFI so can't take computer to the head, if you know what i mean. first thought i had was to take the cummins and chip it and straight pipe it. wife and i were out in it one day and one of my friends who has done that to his went by. wife said, and I quote, " that sounds like s***" guess i won't do that until her hearing gets a little worse, huh? anywho, hope everybody had a merry christmas and a WHOLE lot happier new year than i did. LOL
thanks for the tip on the cumminsforum.com and dieselgarage. will try them, but will stay here where the knowledge is.
i'll say it ain't so, but i'd be lying to ya'. you know what they say, "youth and enthusium will NEVER outlast old age and treachery" (from my higher speed days on the bike) got tooooooo many ford diesels to leave the fold here. more work that i want to do on them than i know how at the present.
