CD Player

Hello again...

I have a few questions about mounting a CD player into the original dash hole on my '71 camper special... There is a enough room for the CD player to fit but as hard as I try I can not find a site that has a mounting bracket... And although I probably could fabricate one that is not my forte... Any ideas and or websites that might have one...

Thanks...

for mine i used the metal sleeve, drilled 2 holes in the top to line up with the factory holes on the dash then used some wafer head zip screws. it's a little tight when you slid the radio in but works well, then i covered mine with the volvo cover upside down.

I threw away the metal sleave that comes with the radio. they are too flimbsey for me and some one can just slide your radio out if they want to steal it. I first cut the hole in the orriginal face plate to match the radio. I made it a tight fit so I threw away the plastic trim that came with the radio. Took the orriginal tabs that held the radio and bent them back tward the front of the cab. Drilled a hole in each of the tabs to match screw holes in the radio. Now install the radio. Will need to bend up a bracket to support the rear of the radio, I used the orriginal one.

I've heard about this Volvo kit a few times but no one has ever said what year and model of Volvo it is for. That part number you just posted, is that a Vovlo part number or some install kit part number from an aftermarket source?
