STUCK IN 4X4 LOW!!!! HELP!
MY NEWER '97 EXPLORER WAS SWITCHED IN LOW LOCK AND NOW IT IS STUCK!! WE TRIED REVERSE, NEUTRAL, FRWRD. I AM LOSING MY PATIENCE W/ MY FORD I JUST BOUGHT IT IN SEPT '99. I'VE TAKEN IT IN ALREADY, FOR THE RATTLE IT MAKES 3 TIMES, AFTER IT WAS GONE FOR 2 MOS., NOW THIS!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

STUCK IN 4X4 LOW!!!! HELP!
Just to make sure you are doing this right, to unlock from 4X4 Low you must start the vehicle, put your foot on the brake, shift the transmission to "Neutral", then turn the 4X4 **** out of "Low".
If you are doing this, then obviously something else is wrong.
The electronic "shift motor" might be stuck.
