Steering Locking Up

Last saturday after doing an oil change I noticed my steering would lockup if I am not moving. I doesn't matter if it's warm or cold, whether I am in park, nuetral, or gear holding the brake. I can take my hand at 12 and turn with ease until I reach 9 or 3 o clock then it's like I need to be Mr. T to move it any more. If the RPM's are higher then idle or I am rolling I can go lock to lock with a finger. I checked my fluid it's clean, red, and at the proper level. I have no leaks either. I used to be able to in the past go lock to lock at idle with no problems. What the heck? I do notice the RPMs drop when I hit the wall so to speak. Any ideas?

Truck is a 06 F250 4x4 FX4 6 inch lift with 45,000 on it. The lift was been on it since i I bought it and installed by the dealer.

Don't know if this helps, but you don't say what size tires you're running. I'd guess at least 35's? Bigger tires are hard on the stock PS pump. I try never to turn too much unless I'm rolling. I don't think the stock pump is the greatest either- IIRC from reading on here. Does it do it while moving also? Maybe it wouldn't hurt to change out the fluid. I did mine when I got my truck and can't remember what I used, just sucked out what i could with the wifes turkey baster thingy (shh, don't tell her, and yes-its still hidden in the garage) and refilled with new. It won't get it all but I plan on doing it again in the spring. Not sure why it would present itself after an OC, coincidence maybe? HTH- Tim

LOL good point..I have 35's on it...and when the truck is rolling is fairly easy but my concern is down low which I never had a problem in the past is turning it now. It takes both hands and everything I got to move it sometimes. There is no way my wife can do this and I don't want to end up with a wrecked truck. I suspect the PS pump too. I will let you know today as I am off to the dealer.
