Move down a bit from here and post your problem on the pre-powerstroke diesel page. There are a lot of diesel experts there. The first thing you will learn is to only use Motorcraft or Beru glowplugs, some of the others like Autolite can burn out on first use. Good luck.

Yep. The parts store will sell you Autolite, Champion, Delco, Bosch, etc.glowplugs all day long with a smile. None of them will last, and some of them will swell up and then you can't get the glowplug out without it breaking off, and the tip falling down in the engine.
If you look online, you can get Motorcraft or Beru, or International Harvester for about $10-$12 apiece. Advance auto sells the good ones for about $20.00 a piece. I got some on ebay, 6 for $30.00 with $5.00 shipping.
