Can't enter "Driver Configuration Mode"
I just bought a 2006 F-150 Extended Cab STX.
The "perimeter lighting" feature and the "auto lock" feature are both enabled, which drives me nuts.
I've followed the instructions in the Ford manual exactly:
1. Close doors, wait 30 seconds from engine off.
2. Turn key to ON
3. Hit the unlock door button 3 times
4. Turn key to OFF
5. Hit the unlock door button 3 times
6. Turn key to ON
At this point the manual says the horn should chirp, but instead the instrument panel lights up like normal, and then a few seconds later, the doors lock. The horn does not sound.
Between steps 4 and 5 the autolock automatically unlocks all doors.
The truck came with a Karr 4040a security system, but it was disabled by the dealer.
Is there something I'm missing here?
