I would like to install sway bars on my 1991 XLT Lariet 4x4.
Does it matter if a suspension lift kit was previously installed?
If so, how do I determine if one was previously installed? Are there any simple clues or items to look for? The truck seems to sit a bit higher than most other similar year models, but I can't tell for sure.
If it is 4 wheel drive there should be blocks under the leaf springs in the front and back. 2 wheel drive should have extended shocks and coils, the best way to tell is to compare with another stock truck. the easiest way to tell is for lift blocks, ford has i believe 2" stock blocks in the back so look for something bigger than that. good luck
