Some time ago I had a leaf added to the rear springs and now don't use the camper any more and want to remove it myself. My concern is getting the through bolt out that holds the springs together. Is that sucker going to snap from the rust? Where to get one? What about the "nylon"(?) anti squeak insulators between the springs? Any advise appreciated.

Just make sure to have a good sized C-Clamp on either side of the retaining bolt. This will keep all the tension off the bolt, and if it does happen to snap you won't be getting walloped by leaf springs and getting a ride in that tricked out van with pretty lights on top.
As for the nylon pieces, there should be a strip between each leaf, or caps on the ends of the leafs. just make sure they're still in place when you put it all back together and you'll be fine.
