Ok, so after this latest cold snap my door locks are trying to lock themselves reapeatedly over and over. This is happening even when they key isn't in the ignition. It will do this for a couple hours randomly then stop. Then it won't happen for a few days. I had to disconnect my battery as I was worried it is going to wreck something. Any ideas? I saw a Dodge thread that mentioned they had to replace their Body Control Module and it fixed it. It's under Warranty, but like anything else, I hate being without my truck all day while they try and figure it out (Since the dealer doesn't know what it is, and will have to "experiment"). Of course it happens right before the Holidays!!
Thanks for the thoughts. I will go get the battery checked tomorrow. Everything else is working great, including starting. It's just the door locks that have been acting weird.
My truck was doing something similar to this. As I would drive, the door locks would continue to lock. The digital display on the dash would also flash and go off for a while. When I tool it into the dealer they ended up replacing the instrument cluster. Turns out the door locks and the anti-theft also runs through the cluster. My truck was still under warranty so they took care of it. Good luck.
I took the truck in to the dealer and they fixed the problem. Turns out that it was a short circuit in the drivers side door key entry pad. They replaced that and it is now working fine.
