Unhappy My turn for problem

This morning I started the truck to come home and after it warmed up it started smoking and I have a little oil comming out the tail pipe.
Got 105k on it, No codes had the EGR replaced back in Aug at 98K
No other problem. Truck is at dealer ATT. Any idea's.

Dealer justed called. 15,000 for New Engine, something let go inside engine, it pushing out a lot of oil, presure in the crank case. I'll be finding some one else to do the repair.

Ouch. Well merry christmas to you! Dang man yeah Id get a second opinion? Maybe its a turbo problem and its leaking oil straight into exhause? Just a thought.

When my EGR Cooler failed it was smoking alot and oil was coming out of the tailpipe.

Looking for a new dealer/repair shop ATT. I think it's the Turbo also.

The seal on the exhust side of the turbo went. parts on order

Man that sucks that we trust so called "professionals" and get this in return??? I'm so glad it wasn't your engine. There should be some justice here........ugggggggggggggg!!!

That is the exact reason why the 6.0 got its bad rapp. I am glad you got a second opinion and found an honest dealer with a good tech. Whch saved you a ton of scratch.

It is amazing how much some dealers end up costing us. Other dealers know what they are doing and are reputable. I can't imagine getting a call that I needed to spend $15K on an engine that is still running. Definitely worth that second opinion!
