Coolant changing ????

I am going to be changing my coolant in a few days and was wondering if I pull both the bottom radiator hose and the plug in the block where my coolant temp prob is, will this help get more of the coolant out? I plan to drain it 2 or 3 times with water to flush it out. In the tech bulletin, they say to do it 5 times by only pulling the bottom hose but if I pull the block plug can I drain it only 2 or 3 times and still get a full flush ?

You'll know if you've got all the old stuff out when the coolant your draining is just straight water. So feel free to give it a shot but I can't imagine you'll get that much out of that little hole.

Wonder if there are any more drain plugs in the block somewhere?

on my buddy's, we just opened the drain petcock on the radiator, drained the system, then refilled with strait water, and ran a steady stream of water into the degaus bottle, while running the truck, with the drain petcock still open. Running the vehicle kept the thermo open, allowing water to circulate, and draining a steady stream- until it was clear. It seemed to work pretty well.
